Insurance Company looking for a W/C Claims professional with people management background.

Major P&C Insurance Company is looking a California Workers' Compensation professional. Must have California W/C Claims background jurisdictional background. Will actively manage caseload of lost time cases with complex medical issues. The client has two (2) locations where this job may be located i.e. San Francisco or Menlo Park area.

Insurance Company has an immediate need to hire a Workers’ Compensation Claims Assistant in their San Mateo county office in northern California.
Strong PC skills, including extensive experience working on Windows and good knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience with ImageRight and MS Access a plus. Prefer someone able to type at least 50 wpm. The primary purpose of this position is to provide clerical support to claims adjusters in the daily management of workers’ compensation claims.

duties will include analyzing applicable coverage for all submitted claims and determining whether the loss falls within the policy coverage.

This position is primarily responsible for managing liens for asbestos worker's compensation files in California jurisdiction. Must be able to appear before the Board in San Francisco as often as needed.
