Our client, a Property and Casualty Company,. is actively recruiting an experience Retail Excess Underwriter.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Will be responsible to underwrite Umbrella and Excess Casualty business working with retail brokers with a broad focus across all industries. Accounts will range from small risks to complex accounts. This position is based in New York City, NY area and will be primarily focused on providing underwriting service to an existing renewal base while continuing to generate more new business and building a larger book in the Midwest Region.
Required Background:
- College degree. Good written & communication skills. Knowledge of underlying ISO policies and Client’s and competitors’ forms. Will need to have experience in underwriting Auto and General Liability. Some managerial background preferred. Will be working with various underwriters & to work independently also. Computer skills are essential. Travel within the territory as needed. Willingness to consult with various underwriters but also work independently.

Insurance Company has an immediate need to hire a Workers’ Compensation Claims Assistant in their San Mateo county office in northern California. Strong PC skills, including extensive experience working on Windows and good knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience with ImageRight and MS Access a plus. Prefer someone able to type at least 50 wpm. The primary purpose of this position is to provide clerical support to claims adjusters in the daily management of workers’ compensation claims.
