- Major P&C Insurance Company is looking a California Workers' Compensation
professional. Must have California W/C Claims background and experience in managing W/C Adjusters. This position could be worked from one's residence. The person could work from three (3) location where the company has an
office and report to the office at least once/week. Those location are:
Fresno, Los Angeles, CA and Portland, OR.

P&C Insurance Company is looking for a Surety Bond U/W Professional. Will make marketing calls to agents in territory and underwrite within authority limits to produce new surety business. Increase growth and meet various bond
production goals. This position will work out of their home and report to an office in Irvine, CA. Looking for someone with good skills in marketing and both contract and commercial underwriting experience in the surety bond
industry. Some travel each day, with periodic overnight stays.

Ability to produce and underwrite new and renewal business from assigned
agents/brokers in a market segment. Consistently achieve budgeted financial
results, (premium, loss ratio, retention, commissions, pricing, new
business, premium collection and expense management).
Underwrite and assess risk for Commercial Bond products and accounts in a
market segment. Make appropriate decisions within own underwriting authority
and make appropriate recommendations to Division manager.
Within authority limit, make quick sound decisions and negotiate terms and
conditions consistent with company established requirements standards and
within submission timeframe.
Accountable for accurate underwriting documentation/information and
adherence to documentation standards.
Develop and leverage productive agency/client relationships through a high
level of visibility with agents, brokers and clients and a disciplined
(i.e., planning and follow-up for agent/broker and prospective end customer
visits/meetings) in support of business objectives.
Maintain a collaborative relationship with Home Office colleagues.
Demonstrate superior customer service standards (consistency, quick
response, knowledge of products).
Convince / persuade others to help achieve underwriting, sales and
production goals and understand and work towards strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
§ Bachelors Degree with emphasis in business, preferably finance or
accounting, or, equivalent work experience
§ Minimum of 4 years of Commercial Surety underwriting experience of which
at least 2 years is current Commercial Surety underwriting experience
§ Proven competency in financial analysis and general underwriting
§ Strong interpersonal skills
§ Effective written and verbal communication skills
§ Must have the ability to work independently and have a business focus
Competent computer skills including knowledge of Excel and Word
